New Product: Nerf Modulus ECS-10

Hello Nerfers!

Today I’m going to talk about a new line from Nerf, the N-Strike Modulus line and it’s flagship blaster, the Modulus ECS-10

More after the jump!

Alright so this product has yet to hit the shelves, but I’m going to recap what we do know about this line so far:
– Flywheel powered
– Second blaster to come with a banana style clip
– It’s “fully customizable” with interchangeable attachments
– It’s slated for a Fall 2015 release

and that’s about it!

So, I definitely have a few thoughts about this new line, the first of which is that it’s gimmicky. From what I can tell, it’s just a glorified Stryfe that’s been re-shelled and repainted. So what if it’s got a few accessories that allow you to “customize for every mission,” there’s nothing to really get excited about.

Honestly I’ve gotten really sick of flywheel blasters, call me old school but I personally prefer spring-powered, breech style blasters. There’s something far more satisfying about using those as opposed to flywheel powered ones. Another thing I really dislike is the color scheme, not the most aesthetically pleasing color combination. I’m sure they had to figure out some way to distinguish this from the regular Elite line, but I don’t think this is the best choice.

What are your thoughts?
