Hello Nerfers, it’s FRIDAY!!
Today I’ve got a killer paint job from Reaney.
More after the jump!
So for those of you that don’t know, I have a strong dislike for the Centurion. It’s just a terrible, terrible blaster. It had so much potential and it just didn’t live up to it. HOWEVER, that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its aesthetic merits. Merits that Reaney definitely capitalized on.
This thing is absolutely gorgeous, it’s simplistic and it looks straight up deadly! I for one truly believe that intimidation plays a huge part in winning Nerf battles and this blaster definitely delivers on the intimidation factor.
Looking closely, you can see that there’s very fine weathering done to specific areas, giving the whole blaster a realistically battle-worn look. There’s also something to be said for the white on black color scheme, it’s simple but effective and help the little bits of red really pop.
Reaney told me that he kept all the internals stock, but I’d be willing to bet that this blaster would absolutely decimate if he made it direct plunger. He also told me that the painting process took about a week to complete and cost a total of 51 Singaporean dollars.
Huge props to Reaney!
Enjoy your weekend!
